Bibiani Gold Stars FC have been fined GHS 5,000 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee for breaching matchday accreditation and access-control regulations during their Ghana Premier League encounter against Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
The disciplinary action follows a finding that the club allowed its Chief Executive Officer, Kwasi Adu, to enter the inner perimeter of the match venue without the required authorisation.
According to the committee’s decision, Adu verbally assaulted match officials after gaining access to the restricted area, an incident deemed a breach of the regulations governing matchday conduct and access to designated zones.
The GFA’s accreditation and access-control rules are intended to protect match officials, ensure the smooth organisation of matches and prevent unauthorised individuals from entering restricted areas during fixtures.
Bibiani Gold Stars have been directed to pay the GHS 5,000 fine within 14 days of being notified of the decision.
The club has also received a stern warning from the Disciplinary Committee that any future misconduct could attract more severe sanctions.
The decision serves as a reminder to Ghana Premier League clubs of their responsibility to ensure strict compliance with matchday regulations and maintain proper conduct around match officials.
Clubs are expected to take the necessary steps to ensure that their officials and representatives respect accreditation procedures and the designated access restrictions at match venues.
