Hearts of Oak outclass Eleven Wonders at Legon

Hearts of Oak secured a comfortable 3–0 victory over Eleven Wonders in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 20 meeting at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday.
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani's side produced a composed and controlled performance across both halves.

The Phobians struck early, taking the lead in the eighth minute through Mawuli Wayo, who finished neatly after a well-threaded pass from Henry Boateng. Hearts remained on the front foot, with Baba Adamu creating another promising chance soon after, while a disciplined defensive unit restricted Wonders to limited openings. Set-piece opportunities and switches of play kept Hearts in command, and they went into the break 1–0 up with four shots and four corners, matching Wonders' 50% share of possession.
Hearts made double changes at the restart, and their fresh legs sparked greater attacking urgency. Hamza Issah squandered a golden chance to double the lead on 51 minutes from Emmanuel Amankwah's pass, but the second goal eventually arrived in the 62nd minute when substitute Martin Karikari pounced after sustained pressure inside the Wonders box. A cooling break briefly halted play, but Hearts quickly resumed control.

In the 76th minute, Hamza was clipped inside the area to win a penalty, which Kelvin Osei Asibey dispatched with confidence to make it 3–0. Cephas Osabutey later came on to make his Hearts debut as the visitors saw out the match with minimal fuss.
Wonders threatened late through a free-kick and ensuing corner deep into stoppage time, but Hearts' defence stood firm.
The final statistics reflected the Phobians' superiority, finishing with eight shots, three on target, 53% possession and five corners, compared to Wonders' three attempts and 47% share of the ball.
The win sends Heart of Oak to second place with 35 points, five less than league leaders Medeama SC and two more than Bibiani Gold Stars, who will both play on Sunday.
For Eleven Wonders, this defeat deepens their troubles at the bottom of the league.
